Notes about my providing filters, etc. It was quite a job creating and organizing this list. It is a big job physically organizing these items, keeping track of them, and providing storage space for them. It is more of a service that I offer you than a product. Oftentimes it can take me more time to find the item than I charge for the item. It is just as much time and trouble to pack and ship a filter as it is a lens and not much less expensive to ship. It is definitely a losing segment of my business. I would gain space and time if I threw out my collection of filters. I provide these filters as a service to you. Keep this in mind for anything on my web pages. My goal is to serve my customers; income will follow.

The Decamirad filter system allows you to combine filters to achieve just about any amount of color correction needed. This filter set by Tiffen is composed of 3 warming filters (R3, R6 and R12) and 3 cooling filters (B3, B6 and B12). Series 8 filters are 63.5mm in diameter and have no threads. They are designed to be used with adapters. Series 8 is still a standard that is in use, although not as common as it once was. I have adapters availabe in 40.5mm to series 8, 49mm to series 8, 52mm to series 8, 55mm to series 8, 58mm to series 8, 67mm to series 8, and many other sizes + I have series 8 filter retaining rings and lens shades. Graflex XL lens shades are series 8--and you will not find a better lens shade than that. Mint-, $50

CENTER FILTERS

These are variable density neutral density filters that are dense in the center and taper off to zero density towards the perimeter. They are used with wide angle lenses to even out the illumination. Transparencies made with the superwide lenses without a center filter will be unuseable if properly exposed for either the center or the corners of the len's full coverage, or for that matter somewhere in between. There is about a 3 stop fall off with a 100 degree lens. The center filters compensate for about 2 stops.

Heliopan Center filter for wideangle lens with 82mm filter threads. The front of this center filter has 105mm threads and will accept Sinar 103mm plane glass filters--with the use of your Sinar 105mm threaded retaining ring or Sinar 105mm threaded filters--such as the Sinar Polarizing filter. Rodenstock and Schneider center filters do not have threads in the front. This filter has oversize threads in the front to avoid vignetting. This is the filter to have.
